WestGen Days 2014
The 25th of March will see WestGen owners from across western Canada meet together in Chilliwack, BC for the Annual General Meeting of the WestGen Group of Companies, and we hope you’ll be there! The AGM kicks off our 70th year of operations and we’re excited to show the membership the growth their company is experiencing and where we’re going. To encourage out of town members to make the trip, there is a travel subsidy available, please contact your WestGen Rep for more details.
The Annual Meeting provides updates on the business activities of WestGen and our subsidiary companies Boviteq West and Cryogen, Semex genetic update by Sire Analyst Mike West and performance by CEO Paul Larmer, the WestGen Endowment Fund and our financial performance. There will also be elections for two At-Large Directors on the WestGen board taking place. Following the business meeting and lunch, we’re looking forward to presentations by UBC’s Dr. Ronaldo Cerri on results of a WEF supported research project he’s done on Activity Monitoring Systems. The afternoon session will conclude with a retrospective look at AI in western Canada over the last 70 years by the noted Holstein historian, Doug Blair.
The AGM will be accompanied with other activities in our WestGen Days program to make it an excellent educational and peer networking opportunity for our members from all areas of western Canada.
