There’s always a danger in the face of rapid change for a company to lose its way, for its customers to become confused. Over the past several years there have certainly been a number of major changes take place in both the genetics industry and at WestGen. That’s why the re-branding process for the company has been a major focus for us this past year. In a nutshell re-branding WestGen has been an opportunity for us to re-calibrate and set our sights on new and ever bigger challenges.

The new WestGen logo has a bold new look, a striking colour and a modern feel – exactly the message we want to convey internally and externally. For many years WestGen held proudly to accomplishments that took place some time ago, reluctant to set loftier goals that might encompass some element of risk. No more. As producers you undertake major risk each day – you expect the same from the society you own.

In the past 12 months you have seen this company begin to embrace new challenges despite the risks involved. We now have Boviteq West up and running providing options in the early days of this exciting technology for the benefit of western producers. The technology will be accessible for all producers in not so many years and that’s why we choose to be an early adopter. Recently we’ve also established a for-profit company named Cryogen Nitrogen Delivery Service to compete in the niche market of non-farm small liquid nitrogen containers, primarily in the medical and dermatology fields. The point is that we are changing.

Branding is about more than a new colour, it is more than a fancy new logo. It is about how we want our customers to see us. WestGen is a proud organization filled with staff who are ready to win your heart all over again. As a group we want our producers to take pride in the organization they own.
