We have divided the bulls into three distinct groups which will produce very different calves. Once you have determined what type of calf you are looking to produce simply select a bull from the category that will fit your market.
All of the bull selected for this program rank exceptionally well for low birth weight within the breed they represent. While the environment and the female being bred contribute to the size of the calf, every effort has been made to ensure low birth weight sires are selected for this program.
With recent advancements in calf care, feeding, breeding, the wide use of sexed semen, many dairies have an overflowing pen of replacement heifers.
