Raised on a dairy farm near Osler, Saskatchewan, Gord Hamm developed a passion for cattle and agriculture at an early age. After his family transitioned from dairy to beef production, Gord continued building his experience in both sectors and remains actively involved in raising cattle on the family farm today.
Gord brings 18 years of experience from the University of Saskatchewan’s Rayner Dairy, where he specialized in herd management, herd health, reproduction, and artificial insemination. During his tenure, he helped the herd achieve record milk production and developed multiple Excellent cows, including the dairy’s first Excellent-classified cow in 2019.
Passionate about cattle genetics and developing strong cow families, Gord enjoys helping producers achieve their genetic and herd management goals. He is excited to support dairy and beef producers across Saskatchewan as part of the WestGen team.
